Bonjour,
Let me introduce myself, since we may no have had the chance of
meeting personally.
I am the land of Sault.
At the feet of Mont Ventoux, this is an area of Provence which was
described by Giono as "blue and gold" for in the Fall
it is draped with lavender and epeautre - our indigenous wheat -
and it fully deserves the reputation of a well preserved beauty.
I am a privileged place, criss-crossed with many well trodden trails,
suitable for romantic strolls and extended cycling. A few years
ago, Yves Gattechaut settled on one of my hills. He was dazzled
by the beauty of the place and decided to create a hostelry like
no other, a small village with ten small garden houses gathered
round a swimming-pool, perched above the lovely valley, with a breathtaking
view of Mont Ventoux.
The Hostelry of Val de Sault will be glad to
welcome you, offering the quality of elegant and simple living,
in order to help you find a few moments of real peace.
" The land of Provence gives itself to those who search
for it."
