Make Provence your playground

Cycling
Located across from Mont Ventoux, a stay at our 4-star hotel in Provence is a perfect opportunity to enjoy cycling. The Hostellerie offers countless services for lovers of this sport, including secure bike parking and bike rental (including electric and mountain bikes). You’ll therefore be able to tackle the Giant of Provence at your own leisure, or take the other marked trails to discover the Gorges de la Nesque, the terraced fields of Ventoux or the hilltop villages of Provence.

Hiking
Located at the crossroads of age-old paths, Sault provides numerous opportunities for hiking, whether organised or alone, particularly with the GR4, GR9 and GR92 trails. At the gates of the hotel, you’ll be able to take the Bois du Défends trail (7 km), part of a manor estate whose wood was used for the construction of the fleet of 17th century naval minister Jean-Baptiste Colbert. Nearby on another marked trail (9 km), you’ll be able to admire the beauty of the Gorges de la Nesque and numerous other paths that lead towards the unforgettable villages of Provence.

Horse-riding
The numerous trails that cross the Southern Ventoux and Provence can not only be accessed by bike or on foot, but also on horseback. An equestrian town with an active racecourse (with a harness racing event every year), Sault is located on the horse-riding trail that follows the Route de la Lavande. Stretching across fields of lavender and vineyards, soak in the dazzling colours and fragrances on this equestrian adventure. If you’d rather explore the area around Mont Ventoux on the back of a donkey, you can also enjoy a number of itineraries located close to the Hostellerie du Val de Sault.

Climbing
The gorges and the rocky outcrops of the Vaucluse are perfect places to try out climbing. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, you can enjoy numerous places in Provence here you can try out this sport, all within close proximity to the hotel. At Montbrun-les-Bains or Saint-Christol, you’ll be able to climb small or large cliffs (up to 120 metres), or try out via ferrata, safely climbing the cliff edge on a rail.

Treetop adventures
Want to feel like a bird or see nature and the forest from another angle? Numerous adventure trails await you close to our hotel in Sault. From Mormoiron to Saint-Christol, the Balad'Arbres trail offers rope bridges, zip lines and other fun things to test your agility. At the heart of the Luberon in Rustrel, another forest trail allows you to tackle heights ranging from 3 to 20 metres, all above an ochre canyon.

Golf
Want to practice your golf moves or get a introduction to the sport in Provence? A few kilometres from our 4-star hotel in Provence in the superb village of Villars at the heart of the Luberon, a hilly terrain of 12 hectares welcomes you to play or learn golf. The club offers a practice course (21 posts over 220 m), as well as 9-hole course and an 18-course hotel. Open 7 days a week, lessons are also available, particularly for children.
